Working with Powerpoint Presentation

Powerpoint is a presentation software that can be used to create slide shows to present the text in more graphical form which makes it more convenient to understand, analyze form user point of view. It can be used for printing, web-based display or on-screen projection. There are many similar features to previous versions of powerpoint and new features have been added that you will be able to utilize. There are three features you should keep in mind while working within powerpoint 2007: Microsoft Office Button, Ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar.

Presentation:
A presentation is a collection of slide shows that is to be delivered to the audience. A Powerpoint presentation can have tables,text,graphics,pictures,video and sound. Either all these can be controlled by a user or can run automatically.

Microsoft Office Button
There are some functions located in File Menu of older versions of PowerPoint are performed by Microsoft Office Button. To create a new presentation, Open an existing presentation, save at user defined location, to print the presentation, send, or close etc all these are functioned by this button.

Ribbon
In powerpoint presentation, you will see seven tabs which creates a panel. The ribbon is that panel at the top portion of the document. Seven tabs are following as: Home, Insert, Design, Animations, Slide Show, Review and View and each tab is divided into groups. The groups are designed into logical form to perform function that are used to in develop or edit PowerPoint slides.

Quick Access Toolbar
The quick access toolbar is a customizable toolbar that contains commands that might be taken in use. Quick access toolbar can be placed above or below the ribbon. To change the location of the quick access toolbar, press on the arrow at the end of the toolbar and click Show Below the Ribbon.

Mini Toolbar
A new feature in Office 2007 that has been enhanced is the Mini Toolbar. This is a floating toolbar. Whenever you select or right-click on text, the toolbar is displayed. It displays common formatting tools, such as Fonts, Font Size, Bold, Italics and Font Color.

Navigation
Navigation through the slides can be accomplished through the Slide Navigation menu which is on on the left side of the screen. Also, an respective outline appears from materials that have been entered in the presentation. You can click the outline tab to access the outline.

Slide Views
Presentations can be viewed in. On the View tab, the Presentation Views group provides you several ways to view the slides as Normal, Slide Sorter, Slide Show, Handout Master, Notes Page, Slide Master, and Notes Master.
